From one of the most isolated cities on earth comes Perth, Australia hard rock outfit “Hailmary” Known for their passionate delivery and hard work ethic the band is not afraid to go out a limb, this was evident when time came to record their second EP “A Million Miles And Days” The band made the ballsy decision to self-fund a trip to Atlanta, Georgia USA to work with accomplished producer Jeff Tomei, who had previously worked with Jerry Cantrell, Smashing Pumpkins, Corrosion Of Conformity and Matchbox 20 to name a few.

It was at this time that the band toured the South East of America, playing a highlight gig at Kennesaw State University’s opening day to 1000 plus university students. Before setting off on their USA journey, Hailmary played a sold out home town send off show to a rabid Amplifier Bar as-well as supporting Australian rock legends “The Screaming Jets” and Mammal on their national tours.

On their return, Hailmary launched their much anticipated 2nd EP “A Million Miles and Days” with it came a more straight up Hard Rock sound, tracks like “Live It And Breathe” and “Bringing Out The Best” have received airplay on Canadian rock radio as-well as various USA college radio and local radio all across Australia.

An impressive collection of rock tracks, and unlike most of the mainstream rock that radio blows smoke up the arse of, you won’t find any cheap hooks here – Bomber -Bombshellzine.com

Hailmary came to life in early 2006, relentlessly gigging their asses off to earn a reputation of a hard working band  “When they’re rockin’, Hailmary are good, and tight as a nun’s fanny to boot” – Ben Watson – Xpress Magazine
In their first year of existence they took out the 2006 WAM (Western Australian Music) Song of Year in the Heavy Rock/Metal category  and have received a nomination in the same category in 2007 and 2008. All 3 winning and nominated songs would later appear on the debut EP “Lottery Of Life” which was released through Firestarter Distribution in 2008 to a sold out Amplifier Bar hometown crowd. The EP was received well by the press often comparing it to the grunge sounds of the early 90′s with a modern edge.

“Welcome to Hailmary’s new debut, Lottery of Life, the first grunge/rock work I’ve ever seen to equal the master bands Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam and Nirvana in their heydays. – by Brett Neuling – TheDwarf.com

The band have started 2011 with their first Eastern States tour as-well as writing the debut album which is planned for release later in the year, on the sound of the upcoming album the band described it as a mix of elements from the first 2 EP’s as-well as venturing in some heavier sounds and earthy rock elements.
